Has anybody seen this before?
Any text created in MText prints darker that the regular text in the drawing.

This is probably a stupid question, but what font are you using in the mtext?  Romans?  I mean, is it the same font as a string of dtext in your drawing?

Weird stuff that MText is.
I exploded the MText and it changed to a different layer.  The color is bylayer, so the color changed as well.
When I select the MText it is on the right layer though.
Could my dimension style be affecting it somehow?

Wow.
It seems to adopt my current layer when I explode the MText.
So, If my layer is set to a heavy line, when I print, my MText comes out heavy.

Ron,

The problem may be Mtext formatting codes imbedded within the Mtext object.   Try removing formatting from inside the Mtext editor by selecting the text in question and right click -> remove formatting.

If that doesn't work, then please post a listing of the Mtext text value, which you can easily create by using the AutoCAD LIST command.

If you have a lot of Mtext which requires format code removal, try StripMtext.lsp available at my home page.

Steve,
Thanks for the update. I was using your 3.05 version.
Comes in handy, well done. :)

Thanks

CAB, You're welcomed.  I can't take all the credit.  StripMtext uses John Uhden's Unformat function.  I just wrote the UI wrapper.

T-Bear,  Thanks for the pleasant greeting!
