PDF DWF Color or Monochrome.
« on: September 10, 2007, 05:57:50 PM »
When you publish or submit drawings in PDF or DWF format or whatever format you exchange drawings in, are these files in color per your DWG drawings or are they black and white like you would see on piece of paper?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Same as Randy, I issue pdf's B&W, when you say exchange drawings are these for printing, or just for someone to use on CAD.

The PDF file and or DWF files one sends for viewing to customers and or vendors electronically.

SOunds like B&W is the way to go.  I agree about the 3D models being color.  I was just wondering about the 2D drawings.  Thanks

PDFs
2D - B&W
3D - Either rendered or a stock visual style is applied.

98% of our drawing are B/W. We use linetypes to differentiate between different services. ie. Water, Foul Sewer and Stormwater.

We only use color for presentation drawings and figures that go into reports.

B/W also saves time when we have to make copies and its cheaper.
