Whats with Audit?

The first audit - 9XX errors found/fixed (yeah right)  :-o
Save
2nd audit - 2XXX errors found/fixed (yeah right)  :-o  :-o

Ok, I went through all the xrefs fixed all errors, went back to the parent ran audit and got it to 0 errors, but why 900 on the first run then 2000 the second time?

It couldn't fix the xref errors, but it tried, and created more errors.
