How cool would it be to right click on an AEC object and be presented with new choices of actions tailored to that object or doubleclick one one and get the properties box for that particular object instead of the standard propeties dialog?

THIS from The Civil Engineering Community page. You have to be registered to get the download but the site is full of resources and it is well worth the effort doing so.
The file itself is a - gulp - CUI file from David Garrigues that you can drag the tools from into your own CUI. Scary stuff I know, but the included instructions work perfectly and it can be a good introduction to CUI customization for the uninitiated.
It DOES work and is a definite enhancement to the standard Civil 3D functionality and I recommend giving it a try.
