Reset profile in LT 02
« on: September 18, 2006, 02:24:55 PM »
A user has managed to vanish his command line in 2002 LT.  I haven't been able to figure out how he did that or how to get it back.  I searched around on this forum and someone suggested resetting the user profile back to the default install.  However, the Options window in LT does not have a Profiles tab, which is where the reset button is found in AutoCAD 2002.

Can anyone help w/ either of these problems?

I know nothing about AutoCAD LT.... is there available a chance to customize the startup?

To start AutoCAD with a command line switch

Right-click the AutoCAD icon on the Windows desktop. Then click Properties.
In the AutoCAD Properties dialog box, click the Shortcut tab.
In the Target box, edit the parameters for the switch using the following syntax:
"drive:pathname\acad.exe" ["drawing name"] [/switch "name"]

Valid switches are as follows:

/b Script name (b stands for batch process)

/t Template file name

/c Configuration folder

/v View name

/layout Layout name

/s Support folders

/r Default system pointing device

/nologo No AutoCAD logo screen

/p User-defined registry profile

/nossm No Sheet Set Manager window

/set Sheet Set name

For example, enter "d:\AutoCAD\acad.exe" /t "d:\AutoCAD\template\arch1" /v "plan1" /b "startup"

Click OK.

I think you can use "/p User-defined registry profile " to setup the profile you want.

Sometimes if you change the screen resolution to a larger number it is possible to find a toolbar, dialog box, tool pallette or command line that has been accidentally dragged off screen
Thanks for explaining the word "many" to me, it means a lot.

Thanks for your help.  It turns out that the command line was pushed underneath the main CAD window somehow.  He's got it docked now.   I didn't think it was possible to move anything outside of the CAD program window.
