( C3D ) Export single point
« on: September 26, 2006, 08:31:53 AM »
Apparently you can not export a single point from C3D. Not a big deal but can be aggravating when you need to.

Can you make a point group, populate it with just that point and export that "group"?

Yes you can, but it's one more step to do something that shouldn't be that big of a deal. :-)

thanks Dino

It'd be quicker to just select 2 points......I guess the designer's logic was something like this:
Quote from: Designer Dean
So ya think anyone'll ever need to export just 1 point?
Quote from: Lead Designer Joe
Nope, I can't think of any reason to do that.
Quote from: Designer Dean
Well, me neither, so I'll just not include that one line of code and save some space.

Are you saying that the mantra of Civil-3D is "Why do it in one single step when you can do it in lots of tiny little steps"?   :-D   :-D   :-D
