Substation Design Automation

Is anyone using a Substation Design Automation tool?
Something along the lines of using a 3-D modelled substation (rendered) to extract the required 2D drawings as well as providing Bill of Material information.
Bentley has introduced a product that is similar, but is there any thing else out there? :-)

I am currently writing that very tool.  I have been modeling my subs in 3d, and using attributes to fill out a BOM in excel.  Most of my modeling tools are written in lisp b/c it was just easy that way

Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)

ooooo... spiffy :)

We weren't allowed to do our substation design in 3D because it "wastes too much time".

That was over 7 years ago, though.  :|
