Yes the distance stays at 30 but the parts are touching.

There was a bug in to offset direction. I updated the previous post with multiple select code.

I modified it so it will still ask you for the distance each time, but it will default to the value you select the first time you run it. After the first run you can simply hit enter to accept the distance or change it if needed.
