Multiple offset?
« on: March 29, 2010, 01:31:04 PM »
Did a search here but no joy.  Does anyone know of an offset routine that uses window/crossing for selection?  I have a series of circles stacked 3" apart with vertical lines connecting them around the perimeter, also 3" apart.  I need to offset the entire array, and the fastest way would be a selection by window,, but I don't have that option with the standard offset command....using 2010.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I posted this a while back, but the major drawback is the lack of OSnap due to the use of a GrRead loop.

This did what I needed....just a thought though.  It would be nice to select offset inside, outside or both.  With over 180 lines & circles close together (98" circles, arcs & lines, offset 2"), it took a bit of picking and erasing.  Thanks for pointing me to the routine Lee.  You folks keep me amazed every day!

Thanks T-Bear, appreciated  :-)

To be honest, it was more of a proof of concept - the dynamic programs are perhaps visually impressive, but not particularly practical with no real use of OSnap, Orthomode, Tracking etc.

You can choose to offset either side or both using the TAB key  :-)

What's really funny is both of our examples (for our subroutines) do exactly what he was asking. LoL
