Found the correct link(s) thru Architectural Side of 2010 for RegApps and ScaleList

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=9240658

What amazes me is that one Autodesk can not fixed the creation of them in the first place and two they can not write something into the core program to delete them when encountered.

Anyway this is what I and my users do
I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here picking up the empties beer cans

Shaan Hurley once had a post on why it is not a good idea for AutoCAD to blindly purge all regapps. Sorry, I don't have a link though.

The ._PURGE command will delete unreferenced regapps, and ._SCALELISTEDIT can be used to delete scale list entries.

Too Bad that would be helpful in determining the logic. I did a quick search and came up empty too

  And I use those methods

The regapps that are creating problems seem based on aec content from what I can tell.
All we need is the geomtry for our uses. Paper is the only thing that gets approval and puts money in our pockts.
The aec/aecb content still holds too much overhead and proprietary version incompatibilities for me to take it seriously in production. It eats its own profitability.
