The filling of Plines or the lack of.
« on: May 18, 2009, 02:20:34 PM »
Now I have one file that I can not get the plies to fill.  It is like the fill mode variable is set to zero when in fact it is set to one.  I have shut down AutoCAD, restarted and open the file with no change.  I can not figure this one out.  Any Ideals?

FILLMODE

and the other members of the FILL Family:

If solid fills, filled fonts, or wide polylines are displayed as only outlines of these objects and not filled, look at the settings of the following system variables:

TEXTFILL. If this system variable is set to 1, TrueTypeŽ fonts will be displayed as filled while plotting and rendering. If set to 0, TrueType fonts will be displayed as hollow.
FILLMODE. If this system variable is set to 1, hatches (including solid-fill), two-dimensional solids, and wide polylines will be displayed as filled in.
SHADEMODE. If this system variable is set to anything other then 2D wireframe, objects will be displayed as hollow.
FILL. This system variable controls the filling of objects such as hatches, two-dimensional solids, and wide polylines.

Make sure you're in a perfect plan view.  PLINEs freak out in the slightest angle.

That was it.  and one that I would have never expected or thought of.  Now to back trace the drawings that I cut & pasted from some to see where the dead fish came from.

Thanks Lin-Z.  Thanks everyone.
