Sounds like AtutoCAD may be acting out just from the embarrassment.

the reason that we can't use paperspace or viewports is because just about everyone in this office doesn't even know how to use paperspace, much less how to set up a viewport and implement them into paperspace. Mainly it's our engineer (very old-fashioned) who prohibits anybody from using them.

I told y'all - a very outdated office indeed.

They prefer us do everything the hard way around here.

"At least you're looking at my helmet instead of my huge erection."

and

"Sorry I'm late, but *effing* off takes time!"

and

"W.F.O. - wide f-n open"

safety man was offended by the first one... lol

So anyway, about the drawing...

We have a select 'bunch' of drawings that have all this garbage out in the middle of nowhere for ... whatever reason.  I had to open one of them a couple weeks ago and decided to try the recover option in AutoCAD 2009 (the last time I tried recover, it was with 2004).  I got a much different result this time and it looks similar to what you're showing... See below.

all those lines look as if they're coming from 0,0 and going to all those points in space...

my problem is more real-time movement. as I drag the grip, it leaves these "trails"

maybe the shrooms.lsp is the culprit? who knows...

Ahhhh...defo the grip thing...don't touch my toggle...I don't know you.......

It sounds very much like a "failure to comunicate"...between you, your computer, and your video card

Stuff your video card right up...and get an up to date you beaut new one. An extra 1 gig of ram won't hurt either.
