Moving text in dynamic blocks
« on: November 17, 2005, 04:55:49 PM »
Does anybody know if you can move your text in a DB after you insert the block?

If you make it mtext it doesn't give you a grip to move the text.  If you turn on grips within blocks it moves the whole block.

If you replace the text with an attribute then it allows you to lock or unlock the attribute when you create the block, but if you unlock it then the DB properties have no effect on the attribute.

Any ideas on my problem?

In the block editor, add a point parameter, then add the move action choosing the text you want to be able to move as the object.

That's an awesome idea Lin-Z.  It moves now but in the direction of my cursor.  How do I fix that?

I figured it out.  You can't allow the action to be included in any other action.

Thanks a million Lin-Z
