linking spreadsheets to attributes

gday folks,

just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to link a spreadsheet (excel) to attributes with a drawing?  Thus meaning that by editing the spreadsheet, the attributes update to reflect the edit.

Im not sure of any way of doing this, but maybe there is a plug in or similar to do it??

Thanks

We are also looking for a simmilar feature. using export attributes command, you can export the attributes values out to a spreadsheet, but we have not yet found a way to link a spreadsheet to attributes.

Why not share your technique with everyone?

Thanks for helping out John, any chance you'd like to share with the rest of the class?

I have code for this at home.  I'll try and remember where I  put it. (Its in a box of CDs somewhere)

If you really hate yourself, you could also delve into reading up on the built in dbConnect feature of AutoCAD.

I gave up trying to write something so we went with a 3rd party App.  Works good with attributes and even better with desktop tags and schedules.
here's the link

The AutoBlock tool looks as though it might do what you want.
