I have problem.  I've created a number of blocks with 2 attributes.  When I insert the block on layer 0 all works well.  When I insert the block on any other layer the 2nd attribute inserts relative to 0,0 (see screen shot).

When I use the ATTSYNC command it fixes it for that block but not future insertions.  It will painful if I have to run attsync for ea insertion.

Are you able to attach an example drawing file?

Well this is embarrasing, in the mean time I've just updated my profile a can't emulate my problem any more?
Lee Mac once again thanks for your speedy repsonse.   Not the first time one of our profiles has been the culprit.
I'm not sure if I can roll back my profile I would of liked to see your answer.

When I insert the block on any other layer the 2nd attribute inserts relative to 0,0 (see screen shot).

What method are you using to insert the block?

I inserted a few references of your 1DUCT block on various layers in your attached drawing using both the INSERT & -INSERT commands and couldn't seem to replicate the problem.

PS: You might want to remove some company blocks from your drawing and purge the site layout block since you have uploaded it publicly, just a heads up.

Hi Lee Mac, (or anyone else who want's a crack at this for that matter)

I don't do as much drafting these day's so this probleme hadn't come up again for me.  But I've had to pick up my ruler and pencil again and the same little annoying problem is back.  I've attached a dwg.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the Tip. I realised soon after I uploaded it I now have cleaned that dwg up.

I just use "insert" "I" to insert block.

I suspect this a local issue to do with our profiles.  My team run <<Unamed Profile>> but I know when I load another profile I can eliminate this problem. But as stated before I don't want to run ATTSYNC or load/unload profiles just to insert blocks.  I questioned one of my crew and he said he was just copying the block from another drawing.  I also note this is not a unique problem I found at least one other with it.

Any Visual LISP Reactors running during the drawing session?

No reactors running.

What I'm going to try (dumb as it sounds) is copy all the relevant blocks across to a new drawing and resave as template.  I'll test after ea block copy. I'll keep you posted how I go.  When I copy the block across to another drawing this does not happen yet If I copy another block with multiple attributes to the suspect drawing I get the same attribute glitch.  I wonder if its some sys variable?

Ok,

Creating a new drawing didn't work.  What I have worked out is it will do it on any of the layers with my non-standard linetypes. ---Telco---, ---SW--- etc.
Not sure why this is.  Therefore if I set my layer to continuous the block will insert correctly. Further to that if I change that layer back to....---Telco---, then the block inserts correctly. Or if I run a bat routine to load another profile then set my profile back <<unnamed profile>>.  Anyhow the profile change has fixed my problem for the time being. This is not the first time I've tried to fix this.  I understand it's nigh on ..... if you can't emulate it your system.

I couldn't emulate your problem.
While in your template and inserting the blocks while on different layers, including layers with the non-standard linetypes, they seem to work fine.
