Problems picking in 2005
« on: January 04, 2005, 09:45:53 AM »
Has anyone else experienced difficulties picking in 2005?

I have a list of ctb. files (all from consulting engineers) but when i try to change the plot styles to a different consultants it picks a file 2 below the one highlighted??

It is fine down to about the halfway mark, but after that it seems to want not to pick the one i want.

I have seen this posted some where but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it. I have not experienced the problem myself though. Have you tried the autodesk knowledge base.

This is a known bug -- usually shows up when you have more than 50 CTBs in your folder. I don't know of a fix...

Hi

If you're a member of AUGI give the following threads a try -

AUGI Forums -> CAD Management -> Plotting -> CTB issues in 2004

CTB issues in 2004

AUGI Forums -> General Design -> AutoCAD 2005 -> ACAD 2005 General -> Unable to (easily) select .ctb in plot dialog box

Unable to (easily) select .ctb in plot dialog box

Have a good one, Mike

Cheers for the help guys. Basically the solution is to have less than 50 ctb's in the directory (if you can) If you are a multi-disciplinary company then split your ctb's up (i.e. Civils; Architects) into different directories, and if you need to cross reference create a shortcut and add into the search files path in cad.
AutoDesk are aware of the problem and as of Jan 2005 there isnt a fix for it.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.
