Fly-outs on Tool Palettes

I seem to remember (back when TP's first came out) having the ability to add a fly-out on them.  Is this still possible?  If so, how do you add one?

I've only ever seen them on command tools -- line/arc/circle and dimensions. (Drag-and-drop a circle onto a tool palette, and it automatically creates a flyout.) I don't think you can do them on other kinds of tools, although I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Ahhhh.... yes.  That's starting to ring a bell.  Thanks, Kate!

Matt, what version are you running.  I have 2006 & 2009 Vanilla Full Version

Both use flyouts on the Command Tools tab for the Draw & Dimension commands.  Not sure how to do it but they are there...

I'm running 2008 (MEP/C3D/LDT/Architecture).

I was hoping to create my OWN fly-out with home-grown programs.  Basically wanted to throw some of our toolbars onto a palette as a fly-out to save some real estate.

You can't make your own flyouts on tool palettes, but with 2009 you could make flyouts on the Ribbon.

Guess I'll have to wait for 2010 then - we update the software every other year.

Why?  So I can redo them when the re-write the code for 2010?

We've already got 2009 since we're on subscription, but I haven't been able to convince the IT dept to give me a test computer with admin rights so I can install/uninstall at will.   :|
