(C3D) - Pipe Network Default Settings
« on: September 13, 2007, 03:16:08 PM »
I managed to change the default settings for creating alignments (but I don't remember how I did it), and now I want to do the same for the Pipe Networks.  Can somebody give me a nudge here?

Thanks.

Settings tab in toolspace > expand pipe networks and right click on edit feature settings.  You can also set things in  the command settings for pipe networks.

I have several more "in the can" and will try to post them more frequently.
Perhaps a pole should be started for users to request various topics, under the original post or the life raft?

On a side note; perhaps even its own "What I've Learned" thread.  Some of the procedure videos are a result of needing to help various groups of users try to get some plans done with C3D.  Recently on different ends of the continent my involvement with some users, and their project needs has really sent me further into C3D and it actual application than I had gotten to before.  To help those users I've documented the basic process involved.  I think I will move towards some data based presentations, such that the viewer can use the same data as shown in the video. The challenge is in keeping the information small enough for distribution this manner and still keep the content meaningful.

How about a new thread requesting ideas for tutorials?

I think it would be easier than a poll, personally. You can pick out the ideas that make the most sense to you and what your previous clients may have suggested.

I'll start it if you like.

.....what your previous clients may have suggested.

That would prove to be a very long list indeed.  But I'm up for it, so let's fire that baby up, and see if I can hold on for eight seconds.

You know Mike, if you posted your vids on youtube others could add the vids to their sites. Might be something to consider. Need to whittle the file size(s) down if you can. Maybe split them into parts.

I couldn't download it or the Map Cleanup zip.
