Express tools error (specifically Burst at the moment)
« on: January 15, 2007, 01:59:36 PM »
We have been upgrading to 2007 here and I am again noticing that some installations work and others not so much.  I have noticed this after every upgrade since I have been doing this back in Release 12.  The two things that seem to be based on planetary alignment as to whether they will work or not is Publish and Burst.  Some computers are fine others have issues with one or both of these commands.

Anyway I am trying to remember and I can not what the fix was for Burst.  Burst loads fine but when run I get the following.

No function defination "INIT_BONUS_ERROR"

Anybody out there know how to fix this?

Check to see if acet-main is loading.

The acetmain.cui is loaded

the express folder is in the search path

is acet-main something different?

In 2005, the express tools error handler is ACET-ERROR-INIT, which I believed was changed from the original INIT_BONUS_ERROR. Are you using and old version of burst that was codes for the old bonus tool subroutines? I would expect burst to be in the new express tools or part of core autocad. Check the help files and if it is, find your old version of burst and move it or rename it so autocad won't find it first.

Dan,

Thanks for the clue.  The user was using 'appload' and pulling in a version from a common 'lisp' folder.  They did not realize that once the express tools were loaded that they did not have to manually load the lisp routines.

I rearranged the search order in the options tab as well so that the common lisp folder is last in the list.

Thanks again and to you Keith for taking the time.
