To all users, should you find yourself locked into some mortal combat with Land Desktop, Civil Design, Survey, Civil 3d, or MAP please feel free to forward your post directly to my email.
In this way I offer a Life Raft, or Escape Pod for your use, as you sail the SWAMP!

It might be a good candidate for one of Mark's pins.

And it was made so . . .

And what, you may ask, would I be getting into should I take mjfarrell up on his generous offer?
mjfarrell does provide professional training services for Civil 3D and Land Desktop - in fact he was my teacher.  He also contributed help and advice numbering in the thousands of posts free of charge to AUGI members and later had a forum on CAD Vault performing the same services.  He does not solicit his training services in his post responses, but will suggest that a user get training from some source if it is apparent it is needed.  How you respond from that point forward is up to you.
There is not enough activity pertaining to his expertise here in LandLubber for him to constantly monitor and this post gives someone with an urgent question that has not been answered to work with him directly toward a solution.  He can then post the cause of the problems and the solution on the boards for us all to learn from.

OK, now I can feel very puny and insignificant.

Just in case anyone using Civil 3D is not familiar with Civil3D.com yet, GET THAT WAY.  Along with James' insight into the program he has just begun publishing articles by Nick Zeeben,  Jason Hicky, Scott McEachron and my personal favorite, Dana Breig Probert on his site.

Don't let him fool you.  If Mr. Wedding doesn't know how to bend Civil 3D to his will on a given problem, he knows someone in Manchester who does know how if there is a solution possible.

as a former cad tech who worked directly with MJF, I to can atest to his wealth of knowledge.  And civil aside, his fishing for bass wasn't bad either.

Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)
