This sort of a rant but This solution has got to be one of the worst solutions I have for an ongoing issue.
Solution #7 Doesn't apply
Solution #6 Reducing Graphicsconfig, linesmoothing, doesn't look visually accurate when designing 2 polylines
Solution #4 Reducing hatch pattern scales will make hatches irrelevant such that it disappears or too large.
Solution #2 reducing hpmaxlines not an option same as #4.
I have already downloaded the latest display driver. Haven't reinstalled visual c++. Issues submitted to AutoDesk

Instead of the latest driver, check against Autodesk's website for the latest "Certified" driver. In the past I had to use a version that was substantially older just to keep ACAD from crashing with hatches that appeared solid when zoomed out.

I'll try that. Further looking into the graphics hardware. My my graphics card is not listed in as certified.

That's probably it. AutoCAD is pretty finicky about the display adapter and driver.
