Hi all,
Lee Mac has an excellent function LM:Unformat and I use it lot of times. However, it does not remove %%U and %%B from the string. Please guide me how to remove it and all other types of formatting.

In this case I'd be tempted to use that super-duper one mailmaverick wrote?

I do not recognise %%B and AFAIK %%U only works in text entities not mtext entities. %%C, %%D and %%P can be used in mtexts though.
-
I have certain text entities and mtext entities for which I want to remove all formatting and get only the unformatted string.

Dear John, in case only %%B and %%U are to be replaced, I can do it through vl-string-subst but there may be many other formattings which I am not aware of and I want to remove all of them. Please guide me.
