Title: Insert screenshot to new thread
Post by: MeasureUp on April 20, 2017, 10:06:29 pm
I am trying to insert a screenshot when I start a new thread by clicking the "Insert image" button.
But it is nothing to happen.
I also did try "Copy & Paste".

Can anyone give help. Thanks in advance.

You have to save a file. Clipboard paste does not work.

Sorry, I also did insert an image file without success.
i.e. By using "Insert Image" button, I right-click between "[ img ]" and "[ /img ]" but nothing can be pasted there.

Note: when trying to insert image there were no spaces within [ ] above.

The [Img] tags for inserting images from the web.   For in inserting images from your computer, you have to use the "attachment and other options" below the text box.  Just click on the plus button.

@Moderator, suggest moving thread to First Things First (https://www.theswamp.org/index.php?board=22.0)?

Thanks for your replies.
I have seen members beautifully attaching their screenshots on message window so we can see the images while reading messages.
I was trying to attach my screenshot with message without success.

I noticed there is an "Inset Image" button at the top left corner (below the "Bold" text button) in reply window.
I have tried this button and the "Attachments and other options" at the bottom of the window but nothing to work. I think I missed something.

Thanks

I really hate talking to myself.
Please assume I asked that explicit question for a legitimate reason and that I wanted an answer so I could provide help for you.

If the file is local ( on your machine or network ) have you tried the method indicated by tedg in Reply #4

For referencing an image from the web I use the img codes and copyclipPASTE the link between the tags.
If you want to resize the image, try something like this :

[img width=200 height=200]http://www.smithfieldfoods.com/images/home/packaged-brands/gwaltney-food.jpg[/img]

I was trying to attach screenshot, but ok to attach local files.
Ok, let me try again.

Ha, finally I made it. Thanks for everyone's halp.

BTW, I was going to ask a question for lisp code with couple of screenshots taken from my AutoCAD.
Then I solved the problem myself.
Having a nice day.

Attached another photo just for fun.

I really hate talking to myself...

I don't mind it so much, as long as I don't talk back too much.

Because then I start asking myself questions, "I mean, is a hotdog really a sandwich?" :idiot2:

Now I'll be up all night debating the answer. Thanks kdub, thanks alot...
