Title: Zombie CAD
Post by: CottageCGirl on April 10, 2017, 03:38:45 PM
I have a drawing that I normally insertspecial a copy of a five page excel file into. I was having trouble getting the VP to print (the rest printed just fine). So I spent all friday trying to insert or attach it different ways, but no luck.
Then it crashed. I spent most of the morning trying to recover it.
If i was able to open , it would stop responding after one pass of Audit
if i was not, it would stop responding after one pass of Recovery

I decided to walk away for a bit.. the frozen screen.. and the task manager open saying "not responding"..

about 15 mins later I came back to find the Recovery had found 14 errors , fixed it and fully recovered the drawing.....

should I Mercy my CAD.... ive never seen that happen before.

Never had that much trouble myself but have had issues with PDF files embedded & proxy objects that drove me nuts.  :tickedoff:
