Title: Surface - Referenced XML not found
Post by: Matt__W on August 23, 2016, 09:35:04 AM
What's the best way to resolve this issue? The XML is from a surveyor and we don't have access to that file.

perhaps try changing the surface style to show points/triangles, contours
then extract those items and make a new surface or add them to the surface definition

OR

ask for the source surface xml

I exported the surface to LandXML then imported it back into the drawing, overwriting the existing surface and now I no longer get the error message AND the drawing opens much faster.
(side note: exporting/re-importing as a DEM produced very jagged contour lines)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, MJF.

consider that DEM is typically a GRID SAMPLED method

whereas you started with a TINN  (triangulated IRREGULAR network of nodes)

suggest that you not use DEM
