Title: Exporting Sheet Files to Autocad
Post by: MSTG007 on January 25, 2016, 04:36:52 PM
Has anyone had any problems exporting sheet files to generic AutoCAD DWG? Lately when we try to export a sheet file that has several xrefs (Without Civil3D Data) and all the Civil3D Data is Referenced inside the sheet; it bombs out. So we have to bind each file into the sheet file until we find the one that is messed up and audit, etc.

The other question I have to this is, when you export how can you just export the entities objects that are on and not those that are off or frozen? I know you can do that by WBLOCK but I do not know how that would work with a title block within paperspace.

I found that the XREF causing the issue, had issue(s) causing the problem.

Fix that XREF and the export to AUTOCAD should then function as expected.

Check out the XREF that is causing it to bomb-out....something should pop up as (wrong, bad, off) through audit/recover etc.
It can even be a nested/lost or orphaned file issue
