YOu can also tell them where to dock with the above. This happens if you had dual screens and find yourself working on a single screen.

where in the CUI do you do that.. I dont see it.. I usually dock them manually by clicking on them..

Check out this link. I am home, so I can't fire Autocad and give you screen shots but I believe this link (http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS73099cc142f48755-1257e12111bf108800e634.htm,topicNumber=d0e392206) will help.
Orientation
The on screen docking or floating state of the palette. The available options are Floating, Top, Bottom, Left, Right, or Do Not Change. Do Not Change keeps the last used state of the palette when the workspace is restored or set current. Some palettes like the Command Line also support a dock location of Top and Bottom.

Ahh Ha that link also shows the process at the bottom.

First have you checked your current setting for workspace? Might want to try to switch to an different workspace if you have one to see if they are still available to autocrap?
-
Sheesh. I saw the title of the thread and thought you had a question for ME! I don't know about any of that silly Autocad stuff. :-)

I am fast forgetting a lot of the acad stuff.... I do miss it, mainly working with NX and teamcenter... good job, hate working with it though :|
-
This screenshot will step you through it if your workspace has the palettes loaded.

Krushert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somehow it finally sort of worked.. with your instructions, I was able to get the Sheet Set Mgr Palette to come up.. had to re-import all my custom paletts off the network but they are there now.......saved a new workspace.. closed ACAD and re opened..
and they are gone agin.. on the new workspace..
but when I go back to the previous workspace where I opnened the Sheet Set Mgrr palette.. it is still there......
BUT!!!!!!!!!!
when I opened ACAD this time.. as it was loading.. I saw a ghost of my old paletts.. floating in the middle... then the base screen formed over it.. so it IS there.. just underneath... I have minimized my workscreen just showing the grey "Autocad" screen.. and it is not there??????
-
... the ghost in the machine ...

Wierd! I would try erasing the blackboard and start over. Create a new user profile with a new workspace and then reconfigure your palettes again. Then Save that new workspace again.
Me thinks the ghost is in the user profile. But i am running on trial and error now. :| :|
-
SOLVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I closed my dashboard and properties palette. (they are right docked)
I set the paletts to dock right from the CUI..
nothing showed up....
I opened the Content browser and copied my custom palette into the blank space at the right of the screen
VOILA!!!!!
so my hunch that the palette was there but unseen was right.....
*HAPPY DANCE*
