Title: Block Updates across drawings..
Post by: hardwired on May 12, 2010, 12:07:26 PM
Hi,

I often have to use and manage multiple model drawings for projects and throughout design, certain blocks within drawings will have to be updated from new information or whatever..

Manually, to update these blocks across all drawings, i have to open all of them with the active drawing being the one with the revised block in it, then in design centre right-click the block and select redefine only..

Is there a way of programmatically doing this? It would ease one heck of a faffy routine..

Any ideas?

If you don't use dynamic blocks, then this might help you.  I know no VBA, but here is a C# solution, source code and compiled dll.

faff or faffing...commonly used like so: I've been faffing around with xxxxx

Hear it here quite a bit Kerry (my wife uses it on occasion) - must be a Brit saying...
