How much detail do you include in your drawings?

I tend to be anal and over-detail my drawings.  As long as I can meet budget, I'm happy.

Then there is the usual Contract language that "Things not shown shall be considered as similar to things that are shown, and the lack of detail shall not be construed as to letting the Contractor off the hook for anything and everything" or something like that.

I vary the detail per client, some do not want to be bothered in the field while others want the freedom to alter
to there preferences.

Here is a my CYA statement:
IT IS THE SUBCONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO BID THIS PROJECT AS A COMPLETE JOB. ANY STANDARD ITEMS NOT SHOWN SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CONTRACTOR OR OWNER AND INCLUDED IN THE BID.  IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THIS DOCUMENT AND CLARIFY ANY DISCREPANCIES PRIOR TO STARTING THIS PROJECT.
