AmericaView Geospatial Imagery Mapping Program Act (Introduced in House)
To authorize a comprehensive national cooperative geospatial imagery mapping program through the United States Geological Survey, to promote use of the program for education, workforce training and development, and applied research, and to support Federal, State, tribal, and local government programs.

I say we form a committee to study the text of the proposed legislation. Once the study is finished we can debate the location of this thread. Then, and only then, we can vote on it. Hows that sound?

The "Delegate" from AZ, formally proposes that this topic, be moved to the NEWS section until the full committee vote is taken, so as to not interfere with normal operations of the Land Lubber subcommittee.

Yes, we understand the nature of the forum. This article seems to be more general news, is all.
Although the timing is a little ironic, just as autodesk continues to strip the MAP tools of their power; here comes this measure that pushes GIS (mapping) to the fore. Brillant!
