Title: Finding Objects with Identical Annotation Scale Ratio but Different Scale Name
Post by: caddcop on January 29, 2016, 02:24:29 PM
Does anyone have a methodology to locate elements in a file that have an annotation scale assigned, based upon its Scale Ratio and not the Scale Name.

For example, I will have many files with scales named 1" = 50' and 1"=50" (no spaces in this name) which are both equal to 1 plotting unit = 50 model units. However, neither of these can be deleted nor renamed since somewhere in the file are objects using both of these. Figuring out where this is occurring is next to impossible.

I'd like to be able to select elements based upon the plotting ratio and then assign one scale to all of them, so I can then delete the other scale.

There should also be a way for the software to detect an introduction of any "duplicate" scales and automatically rename the incoming scale name to match the current file's scale name, thus preventing any new propagation of duplicate scale ratios.

Any thoughts  or ideas?

suggest select all text
then check/set/reset anno scales through properties
