Autocad on Notebook
« on: July 10, 2006, 11:10:04 AM »
My new job is providing me with a notebook computer to run Autocad.
The company would prefer to spend less than 1400$ US (1500$ CAD) +/-.
I believe I will be using Autocad 2007. Mostly the 2D end of things.

Any recommendation on a system?

Any help would be appreciated....

no system recommendation per se, just look around and get the fastest processor and most RAM that you can while staying within budget.  If it comes down to a slower processor with more RAM or a faster processor with less RAM, I would go with the more RAM.

I concur 100%.  We have a few laptops here, and they are all about the spame speed, but the ones with more ram seem to have fewer problems real or imaginary (read user error)

Sometimes the question is more important than the answer. (Thanks Kerry for reminding me)
