Viewport irregularity
« on: July 12, 2005, 09:16:21 AM »
OK guys.

I dont know whats happening here, and if its something simple I will feel real dumb!

I have got a drawing with 2 viewports on it. I start to draw a line in one of the viewports from the edge of a building, and finish the line anywhere I choose. I look in the other viewport and the line neither starts or ends on this building. What could be happening?

Many thanks
Thanks for explaining the word "many" to me, it means a lot.

No I can see the block I have inserted in both viewports. When I select the block I get grips in the viewport, and I move the block in one viewport and it is moved in the other. Its just not positioned in the same place in both viewports :?

This might now make any sense because I am new to viewports, but are you drawing IN the viewport or ON the viewport?

Is the second viewport clipped?

As far as I can see.
The layer is on in both viewports.
The drawing has been regen'd multiple times.
The second viewport was a direct copy of the first (just used pan to create a new centre)

I'm not at work at the moment, so I'll look when I'm in tomorrow, I'd not thought about that.

I can see all the information, but this block is just in the wrong place in only one of the viewports :x

Its been one of those days where I've spent more time sorting out problems than doing cad drawings. Its probably something real simple...but my brains gone.

Oh well, tomorrows another day
