Title: Standard Graphical Scales
Post by: KewlToyZ on November 10, 2008, 05:03:25 PM
I'm sort of surprised AutoCAD doesn't seem to have these as blocks anywhere I know of.
Does anyone know where there may be a package of Architectural Graphical Scales for download.
Just thought I would ask before going to the trouble of making them.
Thanks :D

In the AutoCAD 2007 for example, open the file Annotation - Imperial.dwg (under the sample/dynamic blocks/ folder)

And in there there it is a DB with all the standard ones.

The Content Browser (Ctrl+4) is a great tool.  Just fire it up, type in something to search for in the upper-left search box and click GO.  A list of insertable (insertable??) blocks, tools, parts, etc... is generated.  Just use the eye-dropper to drag and drop.

MEP 2009 only has the single 1/8"=1' scale in the entire content library.

Long shot, but is there anything here (http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=24548.0)?

Not for the Scales but interesting block libraries.
I found the ones Esquivel linked were more than sufficient :)
Actually as far as our Standards are concerned I've bypassed use of AEC content.
File Auditing crashes and failures have been out of hand with AEC content throughout the 2007 file format.
Compatibility issues, cross platform issues, etc...
Not to mention file sizes increase more than the value it has posed to our uses.
It is a preference I haven't taken lightly but chose the simplest solution in not using them.
Thanks jonesy  ;-)
