create reference greyed out

Not sure what I did, when I go to Data shorcuts (my working folder is set correctly) and right click on a shorcut, the create reference is greyed out so I can't select it. I tried this with two different projects and both are the same way.

Any clues?

you MUST save the file you are working in with a NAME before you can create any reference(s).
They should have tought you this.   ;-)

I can tell you that I was following a tutorial on how to use the Data Shortcuts Editor before I noticed the greyed out "create reference". I do not know if that created the problem or not.
