Material form and calculate the problem
« on: May 08, 2010, 05:13:38 AM »
How can every line of text automatically establish a relationship, to amend section, the length and the amount of weight behind the total weight of the amendment to the function of similar to excel.
the friend made a similar procedure be, thank you for your reference

I might be missing something crucial, but would you be looking to use a FIELD?

Thank Lee, if you have the relevant procedures, can you show me? Or any other similar?

Apologies, I hadn't looked at your drawing.

In that scenario, perhaps a table would be best, then you can insert cell formulas, identical to Excel.

I know the high version of the CAD in spreadsheet tool, but I've been using CAD2004 drawing, Lee, you have QQ? Is not such a spreadsheet can learn about the relevant procedures?

Lee, maybe I was not clear, this is a steel material form, I now need to calculate the single rules of harmony which calculated weight.
such as: -A*B(That plate)  ,-(Prefix) ,A*B*7850E-6(Weight per meter) ,2*(A+B)*1e-3(Surface area per meter)
For example, the first line of animation, -50x1470x10788x7.85/1000^2=6224.4kg ,6224.4x2=12448.8kg
How can we make this calculation?

May be you need to look at data extraction
 dataextraction command
you are able to create a form like the steel specifications you have  :-)

If you have the fomula and the formula is always the same for one table, I think the best way to extract the table into Excel and then apply the formula into certain cells, after Excel finished the whole calculation, import or synchonize the data back.

As the table format maybe different and all the table contents are lines and texts, it is hardly to code a program to match all the situations. Sure you can consider to use blocks with attributes to form the table, but that means you have to rebuild all the data from beginning.

EXCEL which appears to be the best way to deal with, or as LEE said CAD processing in high-version!
