Responding to an old topic . . .

Rules for rolling your own hatch pattern (*.pat) files

1. name of pattern file must match pattern named on the first line of the pattern file.
eg. if pattern file is named 'XYZZY.pat', then first line of pattern file should be '*XYZZY, My xyzzy pattern'

2. pattern file must include a blank line at the end (extra carriage return - line feed)

3. each line in the pattern file must not exceed 80 characters, so watch the decimal places of accuracy in your pattern definitions (especially the routines that extract patterns from dxf codes of existing hatching -this is often the reason for the "Bad Pattern definition file: Missing Parameter in line ..." error)
