Help with ACAD2006 and Excel
« on: December 17, 2007, 10:53:49 AM »
I have searched for excel problems on here but none (that I found) have mentioned why when cut and pasting or using insertobj or linking an excel sheet in too cad you can only bring in up too about row 68 and everything else is ignored.

If there a way around this? Being able to bring in excel sheets is sweet! but only if it works...right that is.

we use excel for drawings lists.

Currently I have too have 2 or 3 seperate copy and pastes to get the entire list in there, but when you update the list in excel, you either have missing sheets or double sheets do to the list being changed, either removing or adding sheets.

Anyone else know how to work around this?

Are you open to using a 3rd party program? If so check out XL2CAD.

If this is not an option for you, what version of MSOffice and AutoCAD are you running, and are you planning to upgrade it anytime soon?

how many rows do you need?
see my attached drawing. i squeezed 159 :)
excel table is not limited by number of rows or columns, but by its size

Before you will copy Excel in AutoCAD
set the font size and also column widths
and row heights to very small
