This is a problem from the office...(not my machine). She's trying to open a bunch of drawings from a client and they all dive the same error. The client says they're using Microstation95. Apparently, they are able to open them with Microstation J, but the version running in the office (SE)...no workie.
Microstation exiting with exception C0000005 at 60A22CE3 (IP=60A22CE3)
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Or does anyone know where I can find a list of the error messages?
Bentley sucks, man!

Hence my logo.....

Does your install of SE work. I am assuming it does.
Send me a file if you can and I can try to open it.
I have J and V8 on my machine.
Bentley doesn't suck, they just have a different idea...
Sometimes it works great and at other times, it doesn't.

I don't have the files here. They're having this problem back at our office, which is where I am not ;). I know it can be opened with J and 95. She's just having a problem opening it in SE, which aside from this, seems to work problem free. :?:
I know they have a different way of thinking....I realise the program is actually very powerful...I just don't like it. (Not knowing it very well doesn't help that either )

SE is the version between 95 and J. are they running a valid release of SE? if by chance they are running a Work in Progress release that could be the problem.
Other then that I don't know what to say..

Not sure...I'll ask her.
Thanks anyway, Pieter! Appreciated;)

The error message you list translates as," How STUPID can you be to have purchased this piece of shitte software sucker?".
-
If it was our choice, we wouldn't have! Believe Me! The only reason is because we have clients who use it...so if we want to keep them as clients........

Same here.....

Bentley doesn't suck,
No, it sucks. Finally, after 2 decades of inaccurate drafting they dumped "connect-the-dot" integer-based graphics in V8.

Thanks Hyposmurf. :)

Well, I just got word that the problem was fixed...
They installed a demo version of J so they could open the files. (Long story short), She realised that she could then open it in SE. She then tested it by deleting a cell (block) of a previous contractor's logo that was placed on the client's drawings. After that, all is well. Something in that cell was screwy. Don't know what it was...don't care. It's fixed. Thanks everyone.

Have you tried converting the file through autocad Map?
-
Nope...
I think it's a non-issue now though.
Thanks for the tip though, Dent.
