New express tools tool I just learned about "PSTSCALE".
« on: September 15, 2005, 09:41:42 PM »
Anybody else had fun with this wonderful new expresstools command: PSTSCALE
It lets you through the view to take text selected and scale it to a known size in paperspace.
So the use would be when you need to change scales of a viewport from say 30 to 50 and you
dred the time to rescale all the text and keep the position of the new scale. This will do the job.

eg. L80 would be 0.08
eg L100 would be 0.1
assumed a dimscale of 1

Procedure:
1. rescale viewport.
2. select all the text that is say L80 through the viewport
3. run the PSTSCALE command and use set.
4. type 0.08 for the Paperspace size of text selected
5. Enter the grip point of text (usually that would mean to just use the existing)
6. Smile

Through the viewport of anyscale apply the textsize (0.08) from paperspace sizing
to those piecies of text through an acitive viewport you know need fixing.

This works in Autocad/LDDT 2004 and above. Hope this opens a dialogue
for other nifty commands hidden away.

Another I bet, you haven't seen, this one is hidden in LDT. Try this one if you do have Ldd 2000i or Above, and in the old
macro.lsp in the root folder for Land Desktop. Try command:RB
this will rotate well made blocks... you know the ones that were made on layer 0 and set at origin 0,0
I hope this one is also helpful to the curious.
