2005 problems
« on: September 14, 2005, 03:26:15 PM »
in the end, this could be a licence or network issue, but we haven't able to solve it yet.... one of our designers was running 2002 and 2005 at the same time (not sure why)   she had a power serge and since then can't open 2005.  when you click on your desktop icon, it shows a path to a file in the temp folder on her C: drive   "AdskCleanup.001" with a note "access denied"  This is a network installation of Acad 2005 with multiple licences (no-one else is having problems)  we have since unloaded 2005, but no-one here has administrator rights to reload it, so we are waiting for IT to come up.   any thoughts?

ps what is the 5th smiley from the right?

why specifu a license file ?? you don't really need it..

if you using FlexLM
Enter the IP address of the AutoCAD server in the registry..

and all done. !

it work for any version of AutoCAD

thanks Andrea my network guy is looking into that.
when we reinstalled it, it will only work if you are logged on as "administrator" and when you log in as the user, it comes up "access denied"

You must allow all users access to run the program .. in some installations it is an option in the setup ...  "Do you want to allow other users to run this program?" If that is asked you MUST answer yes ..

all user must be admin.

( LOCAL USER ONLY )

otherwise AutoCAd can't have access to the Windows register.

If you'r not sure...I'll tell you how to do it.

and also how to by-pass the .lic file.
