Hatch Boundaries

Quick question:
Is it generally a good idea to use hatches without boundaries? In this case, the hatch is used in a block, but there are no boundaries. Call it an old habit, but I have always left the boundaries intact.
Does it make a difference?

Take a little time to stop and smell the roses.

I don't think so. You can always generate a new boundary with newer versions of ACAD.
