Title: Zero Margins and settings

Since Se7en introduced me to his zero margin setup I've been quite happy with the results. Last week I ran into a bit of a problem though. Every time I printed a half size ( 11X17 ) the printer would chop off the bottom and right side of the print. After going crazy for a couple of days trying to figure this out I finally did! *woot* There is a setting in the printer driver, ( HP Laser ) that some how got turned off. After changing it all is good again.

I have that very same printer in my office and i had heard rumors of that happening to some people here as well (weird coincidence) but i havent had any time to devote to it yet. Thanx for doing my leg work (That is to say, if people here are having the same problem as you)!

Mark,

Do folks use Inked Area or Edge of Paper as your 0,0 for Paperspace?

With the few drivers I have available to me the only one that mentions either of these is the Oce, I *think* I have it set to inked area.

I was talking about Options>>Plot and Publish>>Specify Plot offset relative to:
Inked Area                 or                          Edge of Paper


(lower right quadrant)

Sorry, it's set to printable area.

Here's another one to watch out for. Yesterday I was plotting a set of drawings and noticed the plotter was adding a 1/2" to both the top and bottom of the sheet thus making my ANSI D 23x34. OOP's!! A simple setting fixed the problem.
