The really funny part (if "funny" is the right word) is that I've seen stuff from Autodesk from the 2005 time frame, and they seem to be advertising the lack of a Project as a benefit in Civil-3D, something that's an improvement over Land Desktop.  At no point did anyone at Autodesk ever seem to realize that Projects are actually an integral concept, and the problems with Projects in Land Desktop were problems with the sloppy way Projects were implemented, not an indication that Projects should be removed.

Now we get really nasty, ugly, pseudo-project functionality pasted on in the Vault, and people who don't use the Vault don't even get the nasty pseudo-functionality.

Sounds like maybe another example of "group think" run amok?   :ugly:

Losing touch with what your customers, really want because you don't have to listen anymore, when you already have their money.
And it isn't like they will buy another product, when they have already bought into (or were coerced into) the subscription system.
So why should you listen to what the customer really wants?
Be your Best
