It is an almost instant start up - even with a pile of EaglePoint duplicat registered apps to go through.

Our change over was from r13 into r2005 and it was a relatively smooth one within the core program - not so easy going from EaglePoint to LDT.  We had no idea of what was in the Express Tools and are still making discoveries there.  The most difficult part was the customizations that wouldn't work any more . . . until we found most of them in new commands that had been added over the 10 year span.  After using the new product for a couple weeks dropping back down for older drawings started becoming more of a problem than learning the new one had been.

One thing I hope we DON'T get is the sitcom that they're making out of those commercials.

Remember Imogene Coca in the TV comedy "It's about time"?

It's about time, it's about space about, strange people in the strangest place. That is what this show is about. Hector and Mac are two astronauts who break the time barrier and travel back in time to the prehistoric. Gronk is a cave man with his wife Shadd. In the middle of it's run do to low ratings the creators reversed the concept so that Hector and Mac made it to the twentieth century. They brought with them the prehistoric group.

First Telecast: September 11, 1966

ITS ABOUT TIME, ITS ABOUT SPACE,
ABOUT 2 MEN IN THE STRANGEST PLACE.
ITS ABOUT CAVES, CAVEMEN TOO,
ABOUT A TIME WHEN THE EARTH WAS NEW.
WAIT TILL THEY SEE WHAT'S IN SIGHT,
IS IT GOOD LUCK OR IS IT GOOD NIGHT?

Sid Ceasar was in it as well.

Geezz. They must be spending a fortune, will probably need new pc's to run AutoCAD from this century.  :lmao:

What version are they going up to? 2008 is geared up for windows vista, so you are looking at pc with at least 2gb of ram.

Audodesk have stopped selling pre 2005 I think.

2008 is approved for both.  It's just the first to be compatible with Vista.  2008 runs like a dream on XP Pro
