I use Product Design Suite Ultimate pretty much without the hope of any chance of a crossgrade to Building Design Suite Ultimate ("I'm not spending any more on CAD software at the moment")
If I have a largeish rvt file (200-300MB) is there a better way to be able to open it in Inventor than the following workflow?
- convert the rvt file in Navisworks Manage to an fbx
- import the fbx file into an AutoCAD dwg
- use the command convtosolid to turn meshes into solids
- export to sat file
- import sat file into Inventor
Each process is lengthy enough to require me start it running just before I leave work each day so that it hopefully succeeds overnight!
