Depends on task. If doing mostly queries in a drawing (areas, measurements and stuff) - or testing routines - I drag command window to show 10-15 lines.
When mostly drawing, it stays at 3-4 lines.

3 I guess, That's the command line and two lines for the History.
But I find that sometimes stuff get by without me seeing it.
Like the distance command. the x & y are there but the actual distance has scrolled up out of view.

3 seems to be enough to see distance checks.

I use 3 regularly unless I am debugging a program or doing lots of entity queries.

I changed to four lines here.

Uh.... Daron that does not prove that 3 is enough... it proves that you need 4

I have four lines for my command prompt.

The thing that annoys me is when you are checking a distance and the blasted autosave goes off, and your are stuck scrabbling back either by the scroll bar or 'F2' to find out the distances.

Its too bad AutoDesk doesn't maximize the command prompt area so we can maximize the real-estate on the screen.

That’s a ‘pertty’ picture your drawing there ‘Cab’!

Ugh in the eye of the beholder?
Actually was playing with a 'Point.lsp' then moved to a circle trim routine.

I found myself hitting it frequently as well, but for the most part, I find it unimportant to see what's going on in the command line (depending on what I'm working on) and since I'd rather maximize the screen for the drawing, I use only one line.

Uhh, put your command line on your second monitor and then it won't matter how many lines you use.. :D
