Migrating custom button menus
« on: November 15, 2007, 09:59:52 AM »
I am new to ACAD 2008 and can't seem to get some custom menu buttons from 2004 into 2008.

They are listed by name in the 2004 ACAD Toolbar.

(The 2008 customize window is daunting in its listings of commands, etc).

Please, what am I missing in migrating custom stuff to 2008?

Do you still have all your Icons (bmp files) from your 2004 install?  Do you still have your MNU/MNS file from 04?  If so, place your bmps in a folder 08 can find, and edit your mnu/mns (just one not both) and "repath" your toolbar images to the new location.  In 08, menuload your mnu/mns file and it will convert it to a CUI file, and all images should be golden

After rereading your post, maybe I went a little to deep.  Backing up, do you have your mnu/mns files?  You should just have to do a menuload to load that in as a partial menu.
