Title: Deleting extension dictionaries
Post by: dgorsman on May 31, 2011, 02:00:11 PM
Stupid question time: if I delete an Extension dictionary (say attached to an object, with various child dictionaries and XRecords) are the contents of said dictionary deleted as well or are they just left in place and unlinked?  Should I be deleting each of the child dictionaries and XRecords under that dictionary beforehand?  It might not be a major issue given the relatively small amounts of data I'm looking at but I want to avoid the potential for files bloated with old data that can't be removed.  And I also don't want to be spending time coding to go up and down the trees deleting everything if I don't have to.
