Detaching an Image
« on: March 15, 2011, 08:29:09 AM »
We've got some guys who create 'photo sketches' to show what's going to be demolished out in the plant, location of new installation, etc. and they seem to like to use the same files as templates.
To start a new sketch, they just select the photo and hit the delete key or erase it, which does not detach, leaving all of these unreferenced files in the dwg.

I thought I remembered AutoCAD asking if you wanted to detach an image that was just erased, but I just tried it and... no.  I'm wondering if there was a checkbox on that pop-up for "Don't ask me this again".

1) Is there a variable that will toggle the prompt above?
2) Is there a way to DETACH an image that is just as easy as erasing it? (ie, command prompt / button)?

Thanks!

I can't recall ever seeing a message like that.

Found the message... After starting Raster Design.  Trying to work on it, but people keep coming into my 'office space'.  :x

So, after erasing the image, this is what pops up.
